The consulting Astrologer's Guidebook

Have you been studying astrology for a number of years and stillfeel ill-equipped to read a chart? Or, have you been doing readingsfor a while, but still feel inadequate when confronted withclients’ problems? If so, you are not alone. In doing workshops forvarious astrological organizations around the world, it is puzzlingand dismaying to see so many bright, caring students who seem tohave a great deal to offer, but who are stuck at the threshold ofpracticing astrology. Often, they are stuck for five, six, or eventen years without being able to cross that threshold. A great manyothers read the occasional chart but aren’t pleased with theirperformance or still lack the confidence to go ahead and develop apractice. After observing this phenomenon for a while, I decided a groupdiscussion might help, so I began leading discussions atconferences and workshops under the title, “Why Can’t Jenny Read?”The rooms overflowed with advanced students and the newlyprofessional who needed a forum to express their concerns anduncertainties. Throughout this book, we’ll look at issues thesegroups repeatedly raised, as no doubt many of the same issues havetroubled others.
