The Edges of the Roman World

The Edges of the Roman World is a volume consisting of seventeenpapers dealing with different approaches to cultural changes thatoccurred in the context of Roman imperial politics. Papers aremainly focused on societies on the fringes, both social andgeographical, and their response to Roman Imperialism. This volumeis not a textbook, but rather a collection of different approacheswhich address the same problem of Roman Imperialism in localcontexts. The volume is greatly inspired by the first "Imperialismand Identities at the Edges of the Roman World" conference, held atthe Petnica Science Center in 2012.
